1977 – Delivery of the bulk carrier Norsul Imbituba, one of the first merchant ships built in Brazil.
1982 – Delivery of bulk carriers built in Brazil and the start of operations of vessels with Open Hatch Box Shaped holds for break bulk cargo (cellulose, wood, aluminum, concentrated orange juice).
1987 – Start of operations of two Open Hatch Box Shaped Ships, with break bulk cargo (cellulose, wood, aluminum, concentrated orange juice) between the East Coast of South America and Northern Europe, reaching four ships by 2004.
1991 – Start of operations between the East Coast of South America and the West Coast of North and Central America and entire container ship operations between the East Coast of South America and Africa and Asia
1995 – Start of operations of full container ships with capacities of 1,500 TEUs between the East Coast of South America and Africa and Asia
1998 – Acquisition, by a Federal Government bidding process, of the bankrupt estate of the state-owned company Lloyd Brasileiro, of five more bulk carriers, and execution of their recoveries with its staff, leasing a national shipyard
1999 – NORSUL becomes the most significant private dry bulk transport company in Brazil in terms of number of vessels and deadweight capacity
2000 – Norsul innovates and brings the concept of oceanic ATB convoys to Brazil, designing and building its fleet of oceanic ATB convoys in the country and signing long-term maritime transport contracts with three large industrial groups in the wood, cellulose, and steel products segments.
2003 – Start of Caravelas traffic operations of oceanic ATB convoys, with the Brazilian flag, between the south of Bahia and Espírito Santo, transporting loose wooden logs.
2004 – Start of support for the Instituto Baleia Jubarte, including the embark of biologists on the pushers to monitor the evolution of the presence of whales on the coast of Bahia
2005 – Start of Belmonte traffic operations of oceanic ATB convoys, with the Brazilian flag, between the south of Bahia and Espírito Santo, transporting cellulose in bales.
2006 – Start operations for Vega traffic, oceanic ATB convoys, under the Brazilian flag, between Espírito Santo and Santa Catarina, transporting heavy steel coils.
2011 – Delivery of a new bulk carrier, Panamax type, under the Brazilian flag to replace old tonnage.
2012 – Delivery of a new, multi-purpose ship, under the Brazilian flag, to replace old tonnage and promotion of the first woman to Master and Chief Engineer in the NORSUL fleet. Beginning of the Juruti mine ore loading route.
2014 – Start liquid bulk operations, including chemical cargo, under the Brazilian flag, in cabotage and Mercosur.
2020 – Adherence to the international program ” Getting to Zero Coalition 2030″ and the beginning of a new fleet renewal cycle.
2021 – Norsul changes its headquarters and launches its new brand.
2022 – Norsul 12 is the first known purple barge. Beginning of the biofuel route from Paraná to Pernambuco.
